Soundtrack of My Life
Songs:I Believe I Can Fly: By R Kelly- In my eyes this is my favorite and most important song I have ever listened to. This is truly the soundtrack of my life, the lyrics of the song says exactly what I think day and night. It talks about how as long as you believe in whatever you want to achieve, if you believe before you achieve success will find you. Impossible is nothing to those who believe and try their best at every chance given, you will come back even after you lose the fight. This is song helps me truly discover the meaning of my life.
Heart of a Champion: By Nelly- This song is a song that kind of keeps the heart pumping blood to me, it’s a core part in my sports career. It talks about not giving up; always giving 110% even if you’re in a deep hole you find your way out. You fight to the end. Have the heart of a champion. This is a song that I would always listen to before a game or practice.
War: By Edwin Starr- This song is a very old one, I found out about this song watching the movie “Rush Hour,” I searched the song up and listened to it and I really liked it at first because the song had such a nice beat and groove to it. But then I looked at the lyrics to the song and it really shows how lucky we are to be living in freedom and have our family by our sides. The soldiers that go to war and risk their life’s to give us our freedom we deserve. So this song is a song that I listen to because it’s a nice groove but also I listen to it and think how lucky I am to have my family and friends by my side.
Overtime: By Ace hood Ft. Akon &T-Pain- Overtime, this is probably in my top three favorite songs of all time. It’s a song that really pumps me up for sports. It’s kind of like the song “Heart Of A Champion,” it a song that tells you to never give up even in the clutch moments or the rough times. You lay everything down on the table and fight for it, never backing down from any challenge even the impossible.
Be Who You Are: By Muzo- This song is by a young kid by the name of Evans Musonda. He came through Acadia and is now in gr.12 at FRC. I like a lot of his music because they are all really inspiring songs. This song “Be Who You Are,” it’s a song about how you should just be yourself and if people think you should change something or makes fun of you for what you are, you just have to forget about it and be who you really are. As long as you are happy with what you are and you’re happy that’s what matters.
The Point Of No Return: By Immortal Technique- This song reminds me of the times I have had to fight back and the points where I am at the edge of giving up. This song talks about the point of giving up, where you should never quit, finish what you started and don’t back down from the struggles you meat.
Forever Young: By Jay-Z Ft. Mr. Hudson- This song to me is the most inspiring song I have heard. It tells you that life’s short so do what you dream of always doing. Find something and set your mind on it. Life’s short so live it up to the fullest.
Hockey Night in Canada Theme Song: By / Composed Dolores Claman- I really like this song, even though there are no words to it, it reminds me and takes me back to those times when I use to play hockey. I loved hockey, my dad got me into it one day. We would always sit down on the couch and watch some of the games and just enjoy our bond together. This song will always remind me of my hockey days and just how my dad and I were so into it all the time.
Good Morning: By Chamillionaire- This song has carried me through the rough times of my life. Through bullying and all sorts of put downs from people. It’s about standing up for yourself and not caring what other people say about you. It talks about not letting anything mess your mood up or put you down. Just don’t listen to it and drive by. This song really helps me through the dirty times.
